All professional
airsoft sites have the same basic rules. They are common
sense and if you already play airsoft, will know them very
well. Our rules are also listed on the disclaimer that you
sign if it is your first game at Ground Zero. So what we've
listed below are our own unique Ground Zero "quirks"
that you should check you understand.
FPS Limits
Absolute Maximum (All Weapons)
328fps
If your gun is 329fps+, you will not be allowed to use it.
We encourage the use of pistols, shotguns and standard 300fps AEG's - that's more than enough power for any building on the site, and much more sporting when shooting people up close. However, we appreciate that you may need to use your woodland gun, and therefore allow up to a maximum of 328fps.
We recommend keeping your gun standard.
Expect to be chronographed at the beginning of the day.
Single Shot Only
Your gun can be capable of firing automatic, but you must only use single shot when playing at Ground Zero Urban.

If you require more than
50 rounds for your pistol magazines, you must deduct
any additional rounds from your main weapon limit
(e.g. 100 in Pistol = 150 in AEG). The reverse of
this is not permitted.

Pyrotechnic Usage / Rules
Airsoft type, "hot burning" pyrotechnics are
permitted provided they have been approved by us. Approved
pyrotechnics will have either been purchased from us on
the day or by Mail Order from Zero
One Airsoft. We retain
the right to refuse the use of any pyrotechnic on the
day.
MAXIMUM LIMITS APPLY TO THUNDERFLASH GRENADES
& BLANK FIRING DEVICES:
9mm Blank Shell
Mk.5 in Thunderflash Category
Strictly nothing above will be tolerated and you may be
asked to leave if found using grenades with a louder bang.
12 Guage Blanks are Permanently Banned from Ground Zero
Urban
All forms of smoke grenade are permitted, and the use
of respirators to aid in attacking smoke filled buildings
is encouraged.
Those who suffer from asthma or epilepsy should make themselves
known at the beginning of the day, and should take special
care to avoid buildings where the use of such is permitted.
CQB
Areas
Ground Zero Urban is a CQB site. Some buildings, particularly
our killing house, are extreme close action and very intense.
This style of gameplay will get your adrenaline pumping
fast, and special care is needed to avoid accidents. First
and foremost, care for others must be taken. Do not run
where you can not see. Do not slam doors when you do not
know what is behind them. Exercise common sence and skill
when placing grenades, and do not fire wildly into someone
- it could be their head.
If you don't get hit by a direct round, you're ok. Ricochet's
do not count unless you're totally peppered in a close
environment - here you must use common sence in a realistic
situation.
Feel free to hide behind anything you can, it's your environment,
use it and manipulate it to keep you alive. We also permit
the use of tactical
entry shields (available from Zero
One Airsoft) to
aid in your attack, with some rules attached.
1. They must be the same size and weight as a real model.
2. They must be used in the same way as a real one would
be, and not used to aid in your "god mode" impersonation.
If you are advancing down a corridoor and rounds are constantly
hitting it, you would be dead - even ballistic shields
can not withstand rounds forever.
3. We therefore ask that you try and keep a count of approx.
30 rounds. If you think you've been hit repeatedly, put
the shield down and carry on without it, it's out of action.
This is the best way for the defending force to hold you
off - if they can give it a burst of fully auto, you're
without it and you still have to come in un-armoured!
Marshals
We
have lots of marshals, although you may never know it!
Most of our marshals are players too, and are always close
by, whenever you need one. All you have to do is call
out for a marshal, or go to channel 6 on your radio and
speak - this is the marshal channel and restricted for
that very purpose.
Player
Abuse
Verbal (& physical) abuse is not tolerated at all.
We have a 0% tolerance with this type of behaviour. You
lose it, you're off the site. Simple. Ground Zero is a
friendly place with friendly players - we want to keep
it that way.
Littering
Littering
is not tolerated and you will be asked to leave the site
if caught. Bins are provided in the safe zone, there is
no excuse.
